The Christmas Rush 

EN :: Christmas is coming very soon and everybody is rushing to buy some presents! Me and my husband were in Amsterdam last year and I can already tell it was the best Christmas present we have ever given to each other. How about you? Are you in a rush, shopping like crazy? We are very calm this year and we are not rushing anywhere (except me to work as I am always late haha) and we are looking forward to the atmosphere. Tonight we put up the Christmas tree and added three beautiful tits on it and our apartment looks so cozy already. I personally love the Christmas atmosphere, when the tree is nice and festive, the cakes are on the table and we are watching favorite cartoons and films like Home Alone etc. It´s all about these moments spent with the family and closest relatives.

Anyways, there are still few more days of work and I have to say I can´t wait to be off three days in a row :D I can´t even remember something like that happening :D Hopefully, it will pass very quickly. Well, there is a gingerbread dough in my fridge - resting before I use it tomorrow and I will also make some vanilla baked goods because later I will not have time for that. I will be preparing a Christmas dinner - all traditional Slovak meals and I want to have the best time with my husband and the first Christmas as a married woman. And what are your plans? Do you stick to some traditions every year? :)

Vianočný zhon - nezhon

SK :: Zakrátko sú Vianoce a všetci sa už naháňajú za darčekmi ako diví! My sme boli minulý rok v Amsterdame a ja na to spomínam ako na najkrajší spoločný darček, aký sme si mohli doteraz dať. Ako ste na tom vy? Ste v strese a nakupujete ostošesť? My sme tento rok úplne pokojní, nikam sa neponáhľame (no možno len ja do práce, lebo nikdy nestíham!) a tešíme sa hlavne na tú atmosféru. Dnes sme už postavili vianočný stromček, dozdobili ho tromi krásnymi sýkorkami a náš byt sa hneď zútulnil. Ja osobne zbožňujem vianočnú atmosféru, keď stromček svieti, na stole sú koláčiky (a iné) a pozeráme každoročne neodmysliteľnú Popolušku, Sám doma alebo Mrázika. Sú to tie krásne chvíle a momenty, ktoré si najviac užívate a uvedomujete, no a ešte krajšie je, keď máte pri sebe rodinu a tých najbližších. 

No my ešte musíme prežiť tých niekoľko dní v práci kým sa dočkáme vytúženého voľna a odpočinku, ale snáď to zbehne ako voda :) V chladničke mi už odpočíva cesto na medovníčky, ktoré sa zajtra chystám piecť, rovnako ako vanilkové rožky. Potom už nebude čas, lebo budem vyprážať rezne, rybky, chystať šalát a kapustnicu a tento rok možno urobím aj "bobaľky" s makom. A ako ste na tom vy? Budete piecť nejaké vianočné pečivo? A dodržiavate naše slovenské tradície? :)

Outfit

EN :: Instagram is a perfect place for some great inspirational outfits and lately I often saw there a combination of a silky strapy top and a chunky over-sized cardigan. I liked it with the skirt and also with some blue jeans so I took some screenshots for my personal inspiration. I bought this sweater in Primark which is not my usual shopping destination, but I have to say that I haven´t found similar one anywhere else. It is very cozy and warm though and I don´t regret buying it. I paired it with my mini skirt and metallic booties which saved me this time because do you know what? We had snow in Ireland! I have been living here for more than two years and I have never seen so much snow like this time. Ireland is not ready for this however. The paths are frozen and you can´t walk and I have to say it´s very dangerous. Well the weather is a number one theme in Ireland, but these days it was even more intense :D But as you can see...despite the frozen country, I was wearing my skirt and I felt like at home in Slovakia with the snow everywhere :)

SK :: Instagram je studničkou skvelých inšpiratívnyh outfitov a čoraz viac som si tam všímala kombináciu hodvábneho topu na ramienka s oversized kardiganom. Páčilo sa mi to aj k sukni aj k džínsom a spravila som si aj niekoľko snímok (screenshotov), aby som mohla čerpať inšpiráciu priamo z uložených fotiek. Sveter som si kúpila z Primarku, kde zvyčajne nenakupujem, ale nikde inde som takýto sveter nenašla a musím povedať, že je veľmi príjemný a teplý a určite jeho kúpi neľutujem. Zladila som to všetko s mini džínsovou sukňou a metalickými čižmami, ktoré boli mojou jedinou záchranou, pretože viete čo? V Írsku nasnežilo! Som tu takmer dva a pol roka a toľko snehu som tu ešte nevidela a zjavne ani oni nie, pretože tu každý panikáril a ešte aj dnes sú chodníky úplne zamrznuté, neposypané a neodhrnuté. Povedala by som, že v Írsku je počasie všeobecne témou číslo jedna, ale teraz to bolo ešte viac očividné :D No ale ja som sa nezaprela a sukňa musela byť aj tentokrát a s tým sniežikom navôkol som sa aspoň nachvíľu cítila ako doma :)
